70 one day,... Ice Storm of 2006 the next
So, um, there was this ice storm...
that dipped the world in diamond
and then cut it up with one
the wierd thing was that after a day, i started to think this was just how the world looks
here you can see how heavy the ice was, and then how i thought i looked after four days w/o a shower or power -- i call this my Kenny the Unabomber look
the power went out at 9pm on Ths, and we got BUSY next morning with fires, but the wood had to thaw first, warming the house meant hauling in 15 loads of wood, thanks the Ps for the passive solar house, or it would have been 23 loads, one every 25 minutes
and clearing the debris, yes that's Hemingway with a shotgun knocking a limb loose
and then we cooked
and cooked
and you know, it was, all in all, Fun, though Fleur and I hauled what we think is a factual ton of wood out of our yard (don't worry, we used tractors). So here's some Pretty courtesy of that Gorgeous Right Jab Mother Nature keeps in reserve.

That sounds like a very heavy caliber rifle going off. That sound repeated for hours and hours.
