Stormier: Mom, isn't y'all's 40th anniversary this year?

Duchesse: No, it's our 39th.

Stormier: Oh, well, then I'll just get a card. We do a Do next year.

Duchesse: There won't be an anniversary next year. We'll do the Do this year.

Stormier: Not on the 40th? It's a nice round number.

Duchesse: No it's not. 39 is much rounder number.

(Stormier: ?)

Duchesse: 40 is square. Haven't you ever looked at them??!

(Stormier: .)

Stormier: No faulting that logic! 39 is much rounder.

Duchesse: It's too long to be married. So we'll just start counting backwards.
