Jobs, maybe not: glum

Sooo, Ireland and Ohio both aim to interview in a week. Whether those are phone or on-site interviews was unclear in their ads, but there's been no movement. That's the thing about this process, you can't tell, never know, and are always playing poker in the dark with unmarked cards and a dealer who smiles all the time (to plagiarize Terry Pratchett). There's that first feeling of Oh, Look I Can Do That, and later that feeling of Oh Look I Won't Get to Do That. It's worse than dating. This cycle from excitement to malaise. Which, of course comes from wanting it, from attachment, but still. Of course one wants what one has spent the whole life getting ready for.

If they're phone interviews, then maybe still. But even that is, well, ....

What? If they don't, I'm emailing to ask why. To see what happened. Because I AM totally qualified for both gigs.

Time to feed the horse. Who always whinnies when I head to the barn. Love that.
