I think you make a number of very well-reasoned arguments that should be in an essay of 4-5,000 words. That's exactly what I'd like to see. Thanks for your work and for the question.

So, now, I get to have some real fun. I get to write like I did in grad school, with verve and sincerity and an eye for lazy BS. I get to say the good things about the good things, AND I get to point out some of the whoppers that need a gentle whopping. See, the Aries moon part of my chart LOVES a just and principled fight ... I mean debate ... I mean earnest taking of a position ... I mean tonic corrective to some rather (still) distressing trends in the Acadmiverse.

This almost makes up for the rejection letter from Limerick. (btw, that arrived today)
