Curt White / Joe Strummer

was one of my profs. We read Hegel together one summer, and I took one real class from him where the subject was Habbermas v. Everyone. I did not really camp out in Curt-land -- but I'm on a Curt reading kick right now, and just can't not share. In addition to this selection of net-sized-bites, there's novels and cultural observation and FC/2. He's just one of those people I tend to nod with out of some ancient karmic spiritual agreement. He's a real Culture of Life kind of man.

The Spirit of Disobedience. (a recent fave) -- also shows that Humanism and Postmodernism, are, in fact, Philosophically,very good friends, even if their Cultural Manifestations are not, as well as answering to the problem described in The Middle Mind, and the holy anthrax storm of wicked described in "The New Censorship".
