The Enormous Room, e.e. cummings, kids, is worth it. Autobiography. e.e. is arrested while at war for TREASON not committed, and story chronicles the Kafka's Trial-esque horror of dealing in a world where power has too much power -- but it's hysterically funny, and e.e. plays in language a bit, and mixes is French and English, and makes the best jokes. It's way fun, and way less, "oh here we go, i get it" than Kafka. Given our current political/civil troubles, I recommend it as a model of sanity, should you find yourself suddenly accused of doing something you can't prove you didn't do.
Research on Stein slowly coming in. Abstract for next Irigaray Circle submitted, on Graham. Saying all that in 20min should be a lovely writer's challenge. Beginning article/book hunt on Perse.
Am knee-deep, possibly hip-deep, in the "market research" for the prospectus for the book proposal, and in that process found this very interesting marketing strategy. I'm completely flummoxed. Deconstruct yourself by never, ever eating in favor of reading, well, nearly everything. OK, sure. I'm mean, it's funny, and it's nearly right, but sacre monde!
Am also still waiting for winter. Other than the ice storm, this is a Dallas winter. Soooo, anyone southerly who was hoping to visit whilst cold and snowy... you'll just have to satisfy yourselves with my sparkling company.
